INSPIRATION ROOMS: Sarah Richardson
Sarah Richardson, the Canadian designer with an HGTV show by the same name, has brought her eye for color and talent for design to a line of fabrics through Kravet (www.SarahRichardsonDesign.com). A master at mixing fabrics and infusing color into any style of room, Richardson now makes it easy to for her fans to bring a little of her design home.
Below are a few snapshots of her summer island house on the Georgian Bay. Richardson chronicled the renovation on her show.
At the dinner table, Richardson mixed wood and upholstered chairs, paired with a bench along one side, for a casual feel, tied together through color. Reclaimed wood lines the back of the counter cabinets while open shelving displays her milk glass collection. The penny tile reflects all of the colors of the beach bungalow.
Richardson again achieves a lived in and layered look to her newly decorated cottage. And with her mix of colors and textures, it will be hard to ever tire of this space.
